Text messages

What your church may text you, how often, and how to stop.

Last updated September 25, 2026

Who is texting you

Your own church, using Attend to send it. The message names the church that sent it.

What the messages are

That is all. Attend does not send group texts, news, announcements, or anything promotional through this program. Those go by email, to people who have given an email address.

How you agree

Only by answering Yes yourself. The check-in form asks once, Yes or No, with neither chosen for you; No is always available and changes nothing, and you can check in either way. It is separate from the privacy acknowledgement. You will find it on the check-in form at attend.win/checkin and on the personal update page your church can send you. It reads: "Text messages are optional and not required to check in. If you tick this box, [your church] may text you one-to-one about your attendance and send you a personal link to check your own details. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help." with the box "Yes, [your church] may text me (optional)". A leader cannot tick it for you, and Attend will not text a number that has not ticked it.

Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies — most people hear from their church a few times a month at most. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Attend does not charge you anything.

To stop: reply STOP to any message. That stops every message to that number, straight away, and we keep it stopped. Reply START to begin again. Reply HELP, or write to hello@genak.ai, for help.
We never sell your information, and we never share mobile numbers. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Your phone number stays with your own church and the services that deliver its messages.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
